The NETGEAR ProSafe GS724TP is a 24-port Gigabit Smart Switch designed for business networks that require managed Ethernet connectivity and IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet. Compatibility & Important Information
- This listing applies specifically to the original NETGEAR GS724TP associated with the GS724TP support page and original official datasheet.
- This original GS724TP uses IEEE 802.3af PoE with a total 192 W PoE budget. It should not be described as a PoE+ IEEE 802.3at model.
- The two SFP interfaces are combo Gigabit copper/SFP slots, so the associated copper and SFP interfaces are not independent simultaneous ports.
- Compatible Gigabit SFP modules are required for fiber connections and are separate from the switch.
- GS724TPv2 and GS724TPv3 are different hardware versions with different PoE, port, performance, management and physical specifications.
