The NETGEAR ProSafe GS724TP is a 24-port Gigabit Smart Switch designed for business networks that require managed Ethernet connectivity and IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet. It combines 24 auto-sensing 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports with two combo Gigabit copper/SFP slots and a total PoE power budget of 192 W.
Web-based management, VLAN, QoS, link aggregation, spanning tree, SNMP, access control and multicast management features provide practical network control for connected computers, IP cameras, access points, VoIP equipment and other compatible network devices. The rack-mountable chassis delivers a 48 Gbps switching bandwidth and supports both copper and compatible Gigabit SFP network connections.

Compatibility & Important Information
- This listing applies specifically to the original NETGEAR GS724TP associated with the GS724TP support page and original official datasheet.
- This original GS724TP uses IEEE 802.3af PoE with a total 192 W PoE budget. It should not be described as a PoE+ IEEE 802.3at model.
- The two SFP interfaces are combo Gigabit copper/SFP slots, so the associated copper and SFP interfaces are not independent simultaneous ports.
- Compatible Gigabit SFP modules are required for fiber connections and are separate from the switch.
- GS724TPv2 and GS724TPv3 are different hardware versions with different PoE, port, performance, management and physical specifications.
