Cherry MX Red switches also enable easier double-tapping due to their close actuation and release points. Unlike Cherry MX Blue switches, they lack an audible “click” mechanism, resulting in quieter operation. Any noise generated by the keyboard will primarily come from the keys returning to their original position or making contact with the back plate after firm presses.
