YOU ARE AN ADVANCED SURFER
You surf intensively, and it is your favourite sport. During your sessions, you paddle out to the line-up, duck-dive under the breaking waves if you are on a shortboard, or turtle-roll if you are on a longboard. You show dedication in powerful waves of more than one metre. Your swimsuit must stay in place for each of your movements, whatever the strength of the wave. We have designed a range for you that is suited to your intensive surfing and body shape.
ACTIVE AT THE BEACH!
Whether you be a surfer or enjoy bathing in the sea, you don’t want to lose your swimsuit! This is why we test all our swimsuits in the waves. Each model is designed for surfing and perfectly suits other watersports: stand-up paddle boarding, sailing, kite surfing, bathing, etc.
Body shape
We designed these Reva shorts especially for women who want to completely cover their buttocks, hips and lower tummy, while remaining perfectly comfortable when practising a sport.These microfibre shorts are ideal for all water sports The shape provides good stability. You will never lose them in the waves!Your silhouette is visually slimmer thanks to the vertical seams, which also sculpt the buttocks into a pretty curve. Suitable for all body shapes.
STAYS IN PLACE IN THE WAVES: THE TEST
We design swimsuits that promise to stay in place in the waves. To test them, we use a panel of female surfers with different body shapes who follow a test protocol in a pool at our design offices in Hendaye, south-west France. This protocol aims to reproduce the sensations experienced by surfers when being thrown around by a wave. If this test is conclusive, we go surfing in the sea to test our swimwear in real conditions.
FEEL GOOD IN OUR SWIMWEAR
Our work centres on helping women to feel good in our swimsuits. The bust is not flattened, the bottoms don't dig in, and the level of coverage varies. Our mission is to ensure that every woman can find a swimming costume that suits her body, whatever her shape or size.
REMOVAL OF PLASTIC HYGIENE STICKERS FROM OUR SWIMWEAR
From 2022, all women's swimsuits designed by Decathlon will be sold without plastic hygiene stickers.Please do your bit by always keeping your underwear on in our changing rooms.
Dry sizing and wet sizing
To ensure a perfect fit in the water, it is important to choose the right size while you are dry because once they are in the water, swimsuits become looser. We therefore recommend you buy the correct size. The swimsuit needs to fit snugly against your body in the fitting room: you should feel supported. The elastane contained in certain components used in the design of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.
DO YOU WANT TO EXCHANGE YOUR SWIMSUIT?
Is the size or style not suitable for you? would you like to exchange it at your Decathlon store? No problem, just be sure not to cut off the label of the swimsuit in case you want to exchange it.
OLAIAN, DECATHLON'S SURF BRAND
Based in Hendaye, in southwest France, OLAIAN is Decathlon's new surfing and bodyboarding brand. In our offices at the water's edge, we can design a swimsuit and then on the same day test it directly in the sea to check it stays in place in the waves.
These women's swim shorts completely cover the buttocks and upper thighs and are ideal for surfing and other activities in the water.
