كان تعليم القراءة من المهمات العسيرة على الأهل والمعلمين. وكان الأطفل يرون في حروف الألفباء رموزا غريبة يصرفون وقتا طويلا من طفولتهم في تعلمها، ويشقون في ذلك شقاء شديدا. وان كتاب “الألفباء المصورة والأرقام” الذي أصدرته مكتبة لبنان، باعتماده الوسائل التعليمية.
