Determining Your DisplayPort (DP) Version:
The version of DP on your laptop, computer, or tablet directly determines the actual resolution when connecting to external monitors using the Anker hub. There are three simple ways to find out which version of DP your device has.
1. Ask your device manufacturer or seller directly.
2. If you’re using a Windows device, you can tell which version of DP you have by checking your CPU generation.
- DP version 1.2 if your CPU is Intel generation 10 or earlier.
- DP version 1.4 if your CPU is Intel generation 11 or later.
- DP version 1.4 if you’re using a workstation laptop with an NVIDIA GPU.
Don’t know how to find your CPU generation? Simply go to This PC (or My Computer) > Properties and look for the number (shown in bold and underlined below):

1. When I connect to 2 monitors, why do both monitors show the same image?
When connected to dual monitors, devices running macOS only support screen mirroring. Windows supports both Single-Stream Transport (SST) and Multi-Stream Transport (MST) mode. macOS and iPadOS only support Single-Stream Transport (SST) mode.
2. How can this hub achieve 85W Power Delivery charging?
To get 85W charging, use a USB-C wall charger and a USB-C to C cable that both support 100W PD charging.
3. Does the USB-C Power Delivery port support charging for tablets (including iPad Pro) or phones?
Due to the power input limitations of mobile devices, this hub can not provide pass-through charging to tablets (including iPad Pro) or phones when using the original wall charger that came with your mobile device. To support full-speed charging for iPad Pro, use an adapter that supports at least 15V (45W).
4. Why can’t my HDMI resolution reach [email protected]?
The HDMI port supports a variety of resolutions up to [email protected], including 1080p, 1080i, 720p, and 480p.
1) Single monitor: [email protected] if your device supports DP 1.4; [email protected] if your device supports DP 1.2
2) Dual monitor: [email protected] if your device supports DP 1.4; [email protected] if your device supports DP 1.2
