MERCUSYS MS106GP 6-Port Gigabit PoE+ Switch, 4 PoE+ Ports, 65W Total Budget, 2 Uplink Ports, 250m PoE Transmission, PoE Auto Recovery, Isolation Mode

The MERCUSYS MS106GP V1 is a compact 6-port Gigabit desktop switch designed to expand wired networks while delivering Power over Ethernet to compatible devices. With four PoE+ ports, up to 30 W per PoE port and a total 65 W PoE power budget, it provides a practical networking solution for IP cameras, wireless access points and IP phones.

Built for straightforward deployment, the MS106GP combines plug-and-play operation with Extend Mode for longer PoE connections, Isolation Mode for traffic separation and PoE Auto Recovery for connected devices. Its durable metal housing and fanless design support quiet operation in offices, surveillance installations and small business environments.

Key Features

• 6 Gigabit Ethernet Ports: Six 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports provide wired connectivity, including four PoE+ ports and two ports for data-only connections.
• 65 W PoE Power Budget: Four PoE+ ports support up to 30 W per port, with a combined power budget of 65 W for IEEE 802.3af/at compatible powered devices.
• Extend Mode up to 250 m: Extends PoE transmission distance on four PoE+ ports for applications such as IP camera installations. Port speeds decrease to 10 Mbps in this mode.
• Isolation and Priority Modes: Isolation Mode separates traffic between ports 1–4, while port prioritization supports time-sensitive voice and video applications.
• PoE Auto Recovery: Automatically restarts PoE-powered devices that stop transmitting data for an extended period.
• Plug-and-Play Metal Design: Auto-negotiation and Auto MDI/MDIX simplify installation, while the fanless metal housing provides silent operation and supports desktop or wall-mounted placement.

Compatibility & Important Information

• PoE Compatibility: Ports 1–4 supply power to IEEE 802.3af/at compliant powered devices. The two remaining Ethernet ports are used for data connections.
• PoE Power Allocation: Each PoE+ port supports up to 30 W, but the combined PoE budget across all four ports is 65 W.
• Extend Mode Limitation: Extended PoE transmission can reach up to 250 m, with port speeds reduced to 10 Mbps. Actual distance depends on connected-device power consumption and cable quality or type.
• Isolation Mode: Separates traffic on ports 1–4 and provides two uplink ports, including connections for an Internet router and network video recorder.
• Network Cabling: Gigabit Ethernet connections use Cat. 5e or higher UTP/STP cabling for distances up to 100 m.
