أَمضى قلمُ التلوينِ الأحمرُ أجملَ اللحظاتِ وأكثرَها تشويقًا، وهوَ يتحرَّكُ برشاقةٍ بينَ أصابعِ الرسَّامِ.
كانَ يراقبُ الرسَّامَ بانجذابٍ، وهوَ يرسمُ فتاةً
تغسلُ الأواني بماءِ النهرِ.

يقصرُ أكثرَ فأكثرَ، إلى أنْ وضَعَهُ الرسَّامُ في صندوقٍ
معَ أقلامٍ قصيرةٍ مثلِهِ.
فهلْ سيعيشُ قلمُ التلوينِ في الصندوقِ إلى الأبدِ؟
