في شهر أغسطس عام 1925 هب دالوب ( عاصفة مدارية ) ليلاً على سفن الغوص في هيرات الخليج العربي وامتد من ساحل عمان إلى الكويت في نهاية موسم الغوص الكبير و أدى ذلك إلى غرق عدد كبير من السفن والرجال وقد فقد العديد من أهالي قطر والخليج أحبائهم في تلك الحادثة سميت تلك الحادثة بسنة الطبعة لأن الطبع في لغة أهل الخليج يعني الغرق .
